How to Nominate
For the Anthony Grassroots Environmental PrizeCheck Eligibility
Either individuals or small organizations working in California are eligible for nomination.
- Organizational nominees must have budgets under $100,000
- Individual nominees must serve primarily as volunteers
- Activities may be local, regional, or statewide in scope.
The winner will receive $1,000. If an individual is the winner, he or she must designate the environmental grassroots organization that they want to receive the prize money.
Review Nominations Deadline
The Anthony Prize is awarded each year on Earth Day, April 22. Nominations open on February 15th of each year, and close on April 1 each year (postmark deadlines). Nominations received outside of those dates will not be considered.
Nominations Process

Submit a 1 - 2 page letter describing the nominee and reasons for the nomination.The letter should provide contact information (address, telephone and email) for the both nominee and the nominator.

Please include two references including phone numbers or email addresses.

Background material such as press clips, flyers or newsletter will also be accepted, but are not required.
