Los becarios trabajan con nosotros de 4 a 6 horas a la semana, adquiriendo conocimientos profesionales en nuestra oficina de Oakland y llevando a cabo proyectos para implicar a la comunidad local y a sus compa\u00f1eros de clase en cuestiones medioambientales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide\" style=\"grid-template-columns: 21% auto;\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-32700\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Nariah.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nariah Garc\u00eda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nariah estudia actualmente en la Academia de la calle Emiliano Zapata de Oakland. Nariah se uni\u00f3 a los becarios de Nuevas Voces para trabajar sobre el racismo medioambiental y espera seguir trabajando para mejorar la calidad del aire en Oakland. \"Quiero hacer algo mientras soy joven y estoy en el instituto\", dijo Nariah, que fue una de las estudiantes de Nuevas Voces que habl\u00f3 en la audiencia p\u00fablica de la Junta de Recursos del Aire de California celebrada en Sacramento en septiembre. A continuaci\u00f3n, Michelle se\u00f1al\u00f3 que, \"aunque vivamos en comunidades o barrios diferentes, la contaminaci\u00f3n no conoce fronteras y la mala calidad del aire se filtra a las zonas circundantes\". Michelle a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que le resulta chocante que no haya m\u00e1s gente que defienda una mejor calidad del aire en el \u00c1rea de la Bah\u00eda.
