2017 Convening

Our Annual Grassroots Grantee Convening will be November 2, 2017 at UC Davis in Davis, California. 

Registration for the Convening is now Closed.

This year, the convening will focus on building a broader base for your organization. 

This year’s Convening will be facilitated by Wellstone Action. For over 12 years Wellstone has provided technical assistance and training to over 70,000 people in the US, building the strategic capacity of organizations to make real change for communities and encourage enduring progressive government leadership.

GETTING THERE

Driving Directions From the West
Proceed East on Hwy I-80. Take Exit 71 toward UC Davis/Robert & Margrit/Mondavi Center. Turn left onto Old Davis Road. At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Old Davis Road. Turn left onto Alumni Lane. The Alumni Center will be on the right.

Parking
There are several parking lots/structures in walking distance of the Alumni Center, on the opposite side of Old Davis Road. Daily parking permits can be purchased at kiosks for $9.

Bike Parking
There is ample bike parking around the Alumni Center.

Amtrak
Amtrak has service from many areas of California to Davis. A bus from the train station drops you off with a short walk to the Alumni Center, or you can walk 1 mile from train station straight to the Alumni Center.

Every year, the Northern California Environmental Grassroots Fund and California Wildlands Grassroots Fund host a FREE, day-long capacity-building convening.

This convening is open to ALL current and past grantees of the Northern California Environmental Grassroots Fund, the California Wildlands Grassroots Fund, the National Parks Centennial Celebration Fund, and the Grassroots Training Institute, as well as current Rose Foundation Fiscally Sponsored Projects

If you are traveling more than 50 miles one-way to Davis, you are also eligible for a travel scholarship!
