Northern California Environmental Grassroots Fund: 2018 Impact Report Grantees, Accomplishments, and Impact Statistics

The Northern California Environmental Grassroots Fund is now in its 16th year, and 2018 was one of our best years yet!

Last year, we awarded 46 grants totaling $175,900, hosted our annual free Grassroots Convening for 78 attendees, and awarded supplemental training scholarships to 12 grantees.

Strategies for Health Justice: Lessons from the Field Report By Poverty & Race Research Action Council

This report is a comprehensive compilation of case studies, reflections, and strategic advice for working to advance environmental justice structural change and make genuine differences for front line communities.

The report mentions two members of the Rose Foundation community, Martha Matsuoka and Robert García. Martha is a Funding Board member of our new LA Water Justice Grants Program and is the Executive Director of the Urban Environmental Policy Institute at Occidental College. Robert is the Founding Director of California Watershed grantee The City Project.
