She pairs this deep experience with unwavering compassion. Her lifelong advocacy is grounded in a deep concern for environmental and health inequities in historically BIPOC and marginalized communities\u2014from the American South where she grew up, to California\u2019s East Bay where she has lived for 30 years. She is a devoted champion of nature-based climate solutions and equitable access to green and coastal spaces\u2014places where everyone can feel safe, affirmed, and connected to the natural world.<\/p>\n<p>Deb\u2019s track record speaks for itself:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As Executive Director of <strong>Greater Farallones Association,<\/strong> Deb tripled funding and doubled staff, focusing on climate science, habitat restoration, and science education for thousands of low-income youth across the Bay Area. Since 1992, we\u2019ve invested over <strong>$70 million in more than 2,800 community-based organizations<\/strong>, always guided by the belief that <strong>those most impacted must lead the solutions<\/strong>.
