Building on our efforts to protect San Francisco Bay and the vulnerable populations that depend on it for sustenance and cultural tradition, Clean Water Fund has taken on the crisis posed by fluorinated chemicals. With the Rose Foundation’s support we will educate the public on the threat of PFAS to the Bay, its wildlife and area residents, especially subsistence fishers; drive demand for action in the Bay Area; and work with impacted communities, local scientists and regulators to identify local sources of PFAS and reduce use of products containing fluorinated chemicals.
