National Parks Conservation Association requests an emergency grant of $10,000 that will support critical work, travel, and progress in consultation with our Sacramento-based lobbying firm to (1) continue our successful push for state legislation to protect the water resources of Mojave Trails National Monument; (2) continue our work to protect the California desert from adjacent threats and build a movement around the designation of a new National Monument adjacent to Mojave National Preserve and Castle Mountains National Monument in the Eastern California desert; and (3) Cover the costs of travel needed to staff these important efforts.
