Little Growers seeks to prepare the community to fight the adverse effects of climate change, including flooding, heat and pollutants. They seek to build a localized green economy that provides jobs and ownership opportunities to local residents that restore the environment, while investing in building the health, wealth and resilience of communities most impacted by climate change. Working with the cities of Palm Bay and Melbourne, they are focusing their work on the role of green infrastructure, including tees and gardens, in climate mitigation and adaptation. This project includes continuing their work in community gardens and helping residents impacted by climate-related flooding become active participants in stormwater mitigation solutions through sustainable landscaping.
