Supports local Kern County elements of pilot project to provide residents of Lost Hills with air and water monitoring data that can be used to inform decision-making about exposure reduction and health. An in-depth analysis of individual exposures combined with health assessment data will be used to explain air quality and health impacts to communities and individuals located in close proximity to oil and gas development. This pilot project is a replication of a model that the Southwest Pennsylvania Environmental Health Project has developed and tested in multiple communities in Pennsylvania and New York; and will determine the feasibility of expansion of this model into other communities in Kern County that are impacted by oil and gas development.
