Project Title:
Just & Resilient Future Fund. UpValley Family Centers Long Term Resilience Building in Rural Northern Napa County
Fiscal Sponsorship Grants, 2018
Project Description:

UpValley Family Centers of Napa County (UVFC) respectfully requests a grant of $20,000 from the Just and Resilient Future Fund to support our long-term recovery services for Calistoga, St. Helena and rural surrounding communities impacted by the Tubbs Fire in October 2017. Your grant will provide us with resources to provide prevention, education and recovery activities from May 15, 2018 to April 30, 2019 as part of our commitment to promote a full and just recovery for all – addressing the needs of families coping with significant economic disruption, geographic displacement and trauma, especially in Calistoga. We have a critical opportunity at this moment in time as we continue to assist hundreds of low income and immigrant residents, who live paycheck to paycheck, to recover from the fires and increase their resiliency for the long term. Our clients, who lost housing and/or employment, face steep challenges to a full recovery as a result of poverty, immigration status, lack of affordable housing and low-wage, and seasonal employment.
Specifically, your support will be used to provide:
1. Case management support for families and seniors affected by the fires
2. Bilingual emergency preparedness workshops and trainings including emergency kits
