Join New Voices Saturday November 21st To Restore The Mokelumne River
Restore the fire damaged Mokelumne River watershed with our New Voices Are Rising youth leaders!
In the East Bay, our clean, pure water depends on the health of the Mokelumne River and its watershed. Join our New Voices youth Saturday November 21st to spread mulch, build simple water dissipaters, or add seed along the Mokelumne River. These efforts will help repair the serious damage to the watershed that took place in last summer’s tragic Butte Fire, leaving the watershed vulnerable to dangerous erosion this winter in the predicted heavy El Niño Storms.
All instruction and tools will be provided. No experience necessary, but the project will require light lifting, bending, and moderate hiking.
Bring lunch, drinking water, sturdy shoes, work clothes (long pants), work gloves, insect repellent, sun glasses, and sunscreen.
We will meet at Robinson’s Ranch at 8:30 AM.
Please RSVP to jratner-at-rosefdn.org or call 510-658-0702 x306 by Friday November 20 at 9AM.
We can’t wait to see you there!
P.S. Can’t attend this Saturday’s restoration event? Stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved with New Voices Are Rising this fall!
