Check Out Our 2021 Film Fest Lineup
Our 2021 Film Fest lineup showcased the power of grassroots activism and community resilience in action! We curated an amazing selection of independent short and long-form features that embody the values of our Rose community.
Check out our list of films here.
Grantee Submissions
Each year, we feature several short videos from our grantees. These 2-10 minute films showcase their grassroots work, giving us a window into the problems they are working to solve. Raptor Blues is a Claymation video by young filmmaker Ian Timothy that features a red-tailed hawk, barn owl, and turkey vulture singing about what happens when they are tempted by poisoned rodents. The short was made for and produced by Rose grantee Raptors Are The Solution (RATS).
See our special New Voices Q&A with Dez Rae Kai!
Our New Voices youth had the opportunity to interview activist Dez Rae Kai from The Heroes Among Us about her work in the black lives matter movement and beyond! Access the full video here.
Learn more and take action!
When you buy a ticket to the Film Fest, you are directly supporting grassroots activism. All proceeds from this event benefit the Rose Foundation’s work to build the grassroots movement for cleaner, healthier, and more just communities.
Head to our Resources & Action Page to find more information about the films and the issues highlighted, useful links, and ways to act in support of the efforts shown in each work. These films are not just stories that exist on screen; they are a call for all of us to learn more, plug in, and take action.
A Big Thank You to Our 2021 Film Fest Sponsors!
